About 4Front
4Front Technologies is a software development company with a focus on developing digital audio solutions for UNIX. Its founding partners, Dev Mazumdar with an M.S. degree in Computer Science from University of Southern California and Hannu Savolainen with a degree in Computer Science from University of Helsinki, have extensive backgrounds in UNIX kernel drivers and audio hardware. 4Front's mission is to make Open Sound System a "de-facto" audio API for UNIX.4Front is located in Culver City, the home of Sony Pictures Studios. 4Front is a privately held company founded in 1992 with development centres in Finland and USA.
George Yohng and Roel de Witt head up the 4Front True Pianos division.
